I really love photographing Engagement sessions. It’s where I get to really know my couple’s and hang out with them and practice together before the big day! Most importantly I want you both to feel completely comfortable and get amazing images you can share with future generations.
My take on sessions is capturing you at your best and I truly think that is capturing you in candid fun moments. I think this is a great bonding experience for you as a couple you get to cuddle and hold hands but you also get to have moments together. Real raw authentic moments. I want you to come to our session feeling your best and wearing your best those outfits that are going to give you confidence and look amazing in front of the camera. So I love to give my couples help with that to give them the best session ever!
I had an absolute blast with Taylor and Jake at Shaw’s Nature Reserve and can’t wait to photograph their wedding day. Taylor and Jake both work at Hospitals and Taylor is also on Team Fredbird for The Saint Louis Cardinals. They are also high school sweet hearts just like us and they have such an awesome love story. Taylor is also going to be a June bride just like me!
I asked Taylor to share a little more…
Jake and I first met when were about 3 years old. Our parents were friends, so we spent a lot of time together as children. Jake moved away in elementary school and we didn’t see each other for again for many years. Fate brought us together in high school, when my dad got a new job and ended up being co-workers with Jake’s mom and stepdad. They hosted their annual work Christmas party in their home, and I saw Jake there for the first time in over 15 years. From that point forward, Jake and I rekindled our friendship and have been inseparable ever since.
I started dating Jake my freshman year in high school, when I was just 15 years old. He’s been my best friend and my rock through the thick and the thin. We will be celebrating our 10 year dating anniversary two months prior to our wedding in June. We are going with a neutral themed wedding, and will be having our ceremony in a beautiful small white chapel built in the 1800’s.
