A destination Engagement session

When you have a love affair with traveling the world together and you loved visiting Germany together it is important to bring your personality and what you enjoy doing together for your engagement session. When Jessica was telling me she wanted a laid back engagement session that showcased St. Louis but wanted to end up having a couple of beers together I was thinking of all these potential fun spots in St. Louis and when she mentioned they loved going to Germany together I thought of the Bevo Mill which is now called Das Bevo. Tim & Jessica were completely fun and we enjoyed our time together photographing at the Historic Old Windmill that used to be owned by the Busch Family. Even though it was freezing outside you couldn’t tell and as the pictures state, we had a blast together walking around the old landmark in South City St. Louis. The Windmill was never a working mill but it is 60 feet tall and Incredibly quirky and is so charming we had a tour and got to go up to the top. I couldn’t help feeling like I was at the Moulin Rouge. The awesome stonework on the mill was actually from the property of Grants Farm and was built in 1917. The Schuchards who own other great wedding venues here in St. Louis have done an incredible job rehabbing the once beirhall back to its glory! We had a great time and made our way inside for Tim & Jess to have a beer by the fire and warm up after photographing them outside. They are such a super sweet laid back couple I am really looking forward to their October Wedding at Kuhs Farm. So when you are brainstorming your engagement session think about the things you love and the places you love to visit and we can go on a destination Engagement shoot right here in St. Louis!
